Happy Labor Day! How did everyone spend their last day of summer? We are officially starting our school year the day after and last minute decided to make a trip to the beach.
I made a last minute late lunch reservations at Gladstones in Malibu. At one point in my life I used to drive the PCH highway everyday because I went to high school here, but it’s crazy how I haven’t been back for almost a decade!? Isn’t it weird that one moment you can be driving the same route everyday and the next never again? It was nice driving and reminiscing back to memory lane. I told my kids stories and we all just laughed out loud. We spend our morning at the beach below the restaurant playing in the sand and dipping our toes. It was perfect overcast day and by the time we were done with the beach, kids were ready to eat. Later that day we met up with my sister and her boyfriend and walked around 3rd street promenade and had yummy treats. Traffic was good and we were all bathed ready for bed by 7pm. This was a good day!
